| After being rained out on Monday, the weather became ideal for beach volleyball the following day. The 28 mens teams went hard out to get through 2 days of competition in one very long day, with the final starting at 5.30 that evening. It says a lot to the competitors’ fitness that they were still warming up for 20 minutes before their final games of the day …..awesome. The men’s final between France and Venezuela was extremely close, never more than 2 points difference between the teams, until the final moments when the French pulled out what proved to be an unassailable lead. The Women’s competition involved very close games, and the Japanese team were chuffed with their win. The mixed competition was thoroughly enjoyed by all the teams with the Venezuelans proving to be unbeatable. |
